Call of the Wild Festival in Lincolnshire UK has published an announcement of plans to proceed ahead with the 2020 edition of the event. The Festival postponed from the original date due to COVID restrictions now sits at September 17-20th. Taking the utmost care in following all social distancing and sanitization guidelines, there have been some changes to the event. It’s all outlined as well as their ticket refund policy in the official statement.
While this writer is not yet jumping at booking flights, it’s definitely happy news indeed that what I considered one of the best festivals I’ve attended in their inaugural year last year has the go-ahead for 2020. The governmental restrictions of 14-day self-isolating are a concern for me coming from Toronto Canada. I can’t feasibly take off 28 days quarantine time for a weekend festival…..or can I?
Call of the Wild also revealed a “Pay It Forward” Crowdfunder campaign. The program offers rewards for different pledge donation amounts. Many small businesses around the world are suffering with all incomes stopped due to the lockdowns. I loved Call of the Wild 2019, I was excited to return in 2020……and I still am! And I’ll happily support this event and the simply fantastic team behind it!
