TRISHULA – Scared To Breathe (Album Review)

Trishula - Scared to BreatheWho doesn’t love a good CD playing in the car? Whether you’re out doing daily chores, or maybe jogging, or working out with your earbuds in, it’s always better with something that makes you want to move a little more. However, sometimes it’s just good to do nothing and listen to some great music. How about trying something out that maybe you’re not familiar with. How about something new, that will make you run a little faster, push you along a little harder. Whatever motivates you, now is that time. It’s time to grab the new one from TrishulaScared to Breathe. Trust me…It will make you want to move!

The History

The British brainchild, Trishula came from UK guitarist Neil Fraser. It all started in 2015. Having played, toured and recorded with bands such as TEN, Tony Mills (T.N.T, and SHY) and Rage Of Angels, Neil has worked with some of the greats. However, during his tenure with Rage Of Angels, Neil met sensational vocalist Jason Morgan and drummer Joao Colaco. Thus Trishula has risen from the ashes.

The band’s debut, Scared To Breathe was made in Neil’s home studio, Farmyard Studios. Demo vocals were also recorded in various locations around Wales. With keys being added by Magnum keyboard player Rick Benton, final mixing at M2 Studios, and drums being added in at Black Sheep Studios in Portugal. The combination makes for a killer sound and killer album.

The Review

Eleven tracks in all, (one being an instrumental) you get what I personally think is no filler material at all! It’s got enough hooks and melodies to appease even the harshest critics. With its well-written and well-produced songs, it provides a journey through their musical conquest. However, this hard rock/melodic CD isn’t without its blistering guitar solos and great bass lines either!

My personal standout out track is “Don’t Let Go“. With it being right in the middle of the CD, I didn’t find myself reaching for that skip button for one single song. I was listening while at the gym, I found myself losing thought to where I was, what I was doing, and rode that bike a few extra miles just entranced in the whole album.

However, I truly believe, that if you want some good, Melodic Hard Rock, and want to try something absolutely new, then Trishula is definitely one you should be reaching for.

Rock On, and remember to #supportthemusic!
