2020 is already beginning to look like a year to look forward to music-wise. Adding to that feeling, two of the new up and coming bands, part of what has become known as “The New Wave Of Classic Rock” are teaming up in the spring to lay waste to the UK with their own brands of soulful, sleazy rock ‘n’ roll. Those bands are Bad Touch and Piston. Starting in the hometown of Bad Touch that being Norwich and carrying on over 12 dates ending up in Glasgow during March and April.

BAD TOUCH

Headliners have been around actually since 2010 but only released their first EP in 2012. A debut album came in 2015 called Half Way Home a second in 2016 and finally their third and latest Shake A Leg in 2018. They play rock with soul and a huge amount of groove. Having toured hard for a number of years and supported many bands including Quireboys, Tyketto, Dan Baird, Electric Boys and Skid Row, learning at every opportunity and becoming a more natural and entertaining band. Music to dance, sway and wave your arms around to whilst singing along to their mighty fine choruses.

Helping to bring that new wave groove on the road are Midlands based rockers Piston. With a slightly more sleazy sound but still with plenty groove they have even managed to get played on BBC Radio 2’s rock show hosted by Johnnie Walker. Like headliners Bad Touch, these guys have been working hard on the road honing their stagecraft with artists such as Phil Campbell And The Bastard Sons, The Cult and Glen Hughes to name a few. With a new self-titled album out, they have tunes to get folks heads going on any night.
