Today, a day like many starts off with earphones, a steaming cup of the elixir of life for an early riser heading to work. It was time for this guy to relax before clocking in and check out the new album Attitude by Lonerider
The Band
The line-up alone was enough to peak this guy’s interests. When I hit play never having heard Lonerider, I was expecting a spine-tingling, hard rock, experience. Needless to say, I was not the least bit disappointed. The grooves starting catching me and the hooks and melodic sensibilities were terrific. If band members, Steve Overland, (FM, Shadowman) and Chris Childs (Thunder, Tyketto), Steve Morris (Ian Gillan, Heartland) weren’t enough to catch your attention, lets add in legendary drummer, Simon Kirke (Free, Bad Company) and Brian J Anthony (Steve Walsh, Overland) to round it off. How can this band go wrong? With that kind of writing power and musical ability Attitude on Escape-Music is just what it claims to be . . . Full of great rock and in your face attitude.
The Album
Any fans of Bad Company are going to find real pleasure in listening to this album. Attitude, however, does have its stand-alone qualities. Also as a bonus for all the vinyl lovers out there Escape-Music are taking preorders for a limited pressing of 500 copies of a double LP version that will include four bonus tracks, “When Love Leaves Town,” “Have a Little Faith,” “Rock ‘N Roll Dreamer (Acoustic version),” and “Yesterday Heroes (Acoustic version).” No matter which format you’re listening to this album on between the brilliant writing, production and the fantastic musicianship involved, there is no wonder the hype and talk surrounding this release. The feedback alone is making this the stand out album of the summer of 2019.

Rhythm of Life was a cool tune. Positive message. Great vocals.
