CGCM Rock Radio New Singles – May 26, 2021
(BEAVER BUZZ)
The Prophet – Illusions of Grandeur
Illusions of Grandeur, a “Theatrical Hard Rock/Fantasy Metal” band, which is as much of a mouthful as their sound is an earful. Heavy with melodic vocals, “The Prophet” is a powerhouse follow-up to The Wolf. We at CGCM cannot wait for a full album.
“The Prophet” is part of the epic, “The Siren Saga“.

NOLA – Faster Pussycat
Welcome back, Faster Pussycat! “NOLA” gives New Orleans a great big shout-out. This is a straight-up heyday track. The guitars from Xristian Simon and Sam “Bam” Koltun deliver the bayou backdrop to Taime Downe‘s vintage vocals. Great track!
“NOLA” is available from the band.

Backstreet Liberace – Velvet Insane
Velvet Insane get some help from Dregen and Nicke Andersson (The Hellacopters) on the anthemic glam-punk-garage fusion “Backstreet Liberace“. It’s an absolute banger that should close down a few pubs.
“Backstreet Liberace” is on Rock n’ Roll Glitter Suit, available July 16, 2021.
One Voice – The Crew
“One Voice” is a single with proceeds to benefit the charity Musack, whose mission is to give young people a voice through music by providing musical instruments and support for teachers. The single is long sold out, but you can always download from the link below. It’s just great to hear a bunch of punk legends —Fletcher and Byron Mcmackin (Pennywise), Tim Armstrong (Rancid), Mike Muir (Suicidal Tendencies), and Matt Freeman (Rancid) — craft as big a middle finger song as ever.
