The Study Promotion and Sweden Rock Festival are proud to offer new hard rock bands the opportunity to perform on the Nemis stage at the Sweden Rock Festival 2020 for the 15th consecutive year. Nemis is the Study Promotion concept and stands for New Music in Sweden. Today, the application for the SWEDEN ROCK 2020 NEMIS stage starts.
Nemis has long been an obvious element in many Swedish festivals. The scene at Sweden Rock Festival is the most enduring of all and takes place this summer on June 4, 2020, in Norje, Sölvesborg.
Among the bands and artists who visited the Nemis stage in the past are, for example, Sparzanza, Sonic Syndicate, Emma Varg, Corroded, VA Rocks, Frantic Amber and Maidavale.
“Nemis is a unique opportunity for bands and artists who invest heavily in music and their artistship”, explains Emma Heimersson, development manager at the studio promotion.
At least half of the bands selected must be female-dominated or alternatively fronted by a female. The purpose is to encourage more young women to play hard rock.
“Hard rock is one of the most male-dominated genres in the music industry. Together with the Study Promotion, we want to send clear signals that the hard rock of the future is for everyone”, says Sofia Lindqvist Lacinai, Marketing Manager and Deputy CEO of Sweden Rock Festival.
How does the application work?
In order to participate in the selection for Nemis at Sweden Rock, the artist must not be contracted to a major record company or booked by a major booking company. The application must be made no later than January 5, 2020.
